I am current member of 9F and i am restoring wolf-dale for the 2019 gala. I didn't know it used to have 009 on it! Noways it is completely different, all 00 gauge with a station, cottage where the old one is, signal box opposite the one in this vid and a engine shed with ash pit where the old 009 finished. Really cool to see old vids of the lay out i'm putting so work into!

Bluebell has had the Standard 5's Chime since the late 60's/ early 70's when it first went into Bluebell Blue for the anniversary (5th) since the line opened. It has carried the Chime since.

Hi, My last visit to the railway was just before the top spiral under the bridge opened. Do you know where the track over the bridge went to - was it a short siding or did it go somewhere else. I have just started work on documenting the history of the line. Thanks.

welcome to the RH&DR, a place where overkill doesn't exist. Nice shots mate, just more reason to why I need to visit. We're lucky to still have a hertiage steam programme here in Victoria (Australia) our government wants to squeeze as much money from them as possible. =(

Very nice video, I was one of the two guys that were just behind you when you filmed the shot of Syn, Goddess, Herc and Captain Howey at Dungeness Road.

The other engines are "winterized": that is, to minimize wear and tear due to the cold weather only a few engines are kept serviceable, and that will be until the end of the winter season. Plus, the other engines are mainly "someone's" engine, as in a driver has a particular loco.

haha, a few years ago and that was my wish, to move to the UK. However today I need to get realistic, and spend more than 4 days there (visited the NRM and London back in 08) but this line, including the Bluebell, West Somerset and Llogollen, are lines I definitely wish to visit. They are on my 'Railfan Bucketlist' if you know what I mean XD

what is the purpose of switching engines at New Romney? I am absolutely intrigued about this railway, probably because we haven't got one of these downunder, just miniture railways that go round in circles. Great video mate =D Cheers
